Hot Pair-dominated Accretion Disks
Abstract
The structure and properties of geometrically thin steady hot two-temperature accretion disks, where Comptonized bremsstrahlung is the dominant emission mechanism, are analyzed using a new method based on the fact that the disk solutions depend on two parameters only. The method allows all possible local disk solutions to be displayed as a surface in a single figure. Local disk solutions are found for all accretion rates, viscosity parameters, and radii. As an example, disk solutions are presented for two particular values of the viscosity parameter, 0.1 and 2.0. The existence of global disk solutions is also discussed.
